Highway Of Heroes is an anthem written by written by The Trews and Gordie Johnson to raise money for the Hero Fund - a Canadian charity that provides scholarships for families of fallen soldiers. The Highway Of Heroes is a stretch of Hwy. 401 between Trenton, ON and Toronto, ON on which a convoy of hearses and limousines ferry Canada's fallen in Afghanistan along with their grieving families. The anthem was inspired by the death of Capt. Nichola Goddard from The Trews' hometown of Antigonish, N.S.
